Paris Saint-Germain is set to offer a proposal to David Beckham, with the aim of landing the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder in January, according to Le Parisien.

The publication reports that general manager Leonardo has already spoken to the 36-year-old, whose contract expires in November, about a possible move to Parc des Princes.

"This was the first contact between the parties," Le Parisien's source said. "Leonardo wanted to know David's intentions about his future and PSG spoke with him."

It is also understood that Beckham would not be averse to such a transfer, as it would see him reunited with his former mentor Leonardo, who coached him at AC Milan for six months during the 2009-10 campaign.

Representatives of PSG's owners, Qatar Sports Investments, are expected to travel to Los Angeles to meet Beckham and his entourage, which includes his wife Victoria, who is reportedly keen on the move to Paris as it would coincide with her fashion interests.

However, the midfielder has reportedly reviewed a growing number of alternative proposals, most notably the public interest from English club QPR.
