Gareth Bale SCORES in his Real Madrid debut to make a dream start in Spain

The Welshman made his bow for Los Blancos on Saturday night against Villarreal, playing on the right-wing, despite being tipped to start at left-back.
What a start: Real Madrid's Gareth Bale scores on his debut
Gareth Bale has scored in his first Real Madrid appearance since his world-record transfer, starting on the right-wing in the Spanish giants' clash against Villarreal.
Bale was not deemed fit enough to start either of Wales' World Cup qualifiers earlier this month, but found himself handed a start as part of a three-pronged attack for Real Madrid, despite being tipped to play at left-back.
Despite some decent passes and link-up play with Benzema early on, the Welshman struggled to get into the game.
But Bale showed the sort of form that won him so much praise last season with an easy tap-in to draw Real Madrid level. He then performed his signature celebration.
The former Spurs star admitted earlier in the week that he was lacking match fitness, despite training well over the last fortnight.
He was taken off in the second half and replaced by Angel Di Maria, to applause from the travelling Real Madrid fans for his contribution.
“I feel good," Bale said before the match. "I’ve been training last week with Wales I’ve had two good sessions today.
“I got half an hour to 40 minutes game time with Wales and I’m feeling good but obviously I’m a bit behind physically than everybody else but hopefully I can catch up as soon as possible."
The match finished up in a 2-2 draw, with Ronaldo scoring Real Madrid's second goal.
