Xavi pens new deal until June 2016.

Xavi Hernández will remain at Barcelona until 30th June 2016.

The midfielder signed a contract extension at the club's offices at Camp Nou this afternoon. Xavi was joined by club President Sandro Rosell, vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu and Technical Director of Professional Football, Andoni Zubizarreta.



The Terrassa-born playmaker, who turned 33 on Friday, adds an extra two years onto his previous arrangement with Barça which was due to end in June 2014. Xavi follows Carles Puyol who also penned a new deal last week to keep him at the club until 2016.
