Blues set to sign Lovenkrands

New Birmingham manager Lee Clark is poised to complete his first signing after agreeing a deal with Peter Lovenkrands.

The 32-year-old Denmark international forward has sorted out personal terms with the Blues and now just needs to pass a medical.
Lovenkrands, who has played 22 times for Denmark, began his playing career in his homeland with AB Copenhagen before moving to Rangers for £1.3m in June 2000.
After six successful seasons in Scotland he spent three years in Germany with Schalke.
He joined Newcastle on a short-term deal in January 2009 and re-joined them in September that year before being released at the end of last season after making 73 appearances for the Magpies and scoring 26 goals.
Lovenkrands' move has been made possible after City's transfer embargo was finally lifted by the Football League last Wednesday, having been placed on the club in March for not filing their 2010/11 accounts on time.
Meanwhile, Birmingham have announced leisure, entertainment and lifestyle provider EZE Group as the club's new official shirt sponsor.
