Linked with Manchester United and Chelsea in recent times, Santos star Paulo Henrique Ganso has played his last game for Santos according to his agent Delcir Sonda.
Ganso, 22, has been in dispute with the São Paulo state outfit after failing to agree terms on a new deal with the club after rejecting an offer of around US$150,000 a month.
His agent, Sonda, is part of player-rights agency DIS who currently own 55% of the player’s economic rights and are now looking to buy-out Ganso’s contract, before moving the high-profile playmaker to pastures new.
“Ganso will not play for Santos again. That is guaranteed. He could play for Inter [of Brazil]. I am negotiating his purchase from Santos,” Sonda told Zero Hora.
“Ganso is upset with the club. They put together a project for Neymar but forgot about Ganso. He wants to leave but stay in Brazil for at least another year. ”
The news will no doubt alert several European sides, including the strongly lined AC Milan and FC Porto, to the player’s availability.
