Inter boss wouldn't veto Sneijder exit

Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni says that every player at the club has a price and would not attempt to block the sale of stars such as Wesley Sneijder.

Stramaccioni, 36, has overseen a revamp of the squad at the San Siro and although Dutch international Sneijder is key to his plans, he wouldn't veto a big-money transfer for the midfielder.

"Sneijder is fundamental from a technical and tactical point of view, but I can't say that he is not for sale," Stramaccioni said.

"That would be an abuse of my power. I would only ask the president to think carefully should an important offer arrive."

Inter have released Brazil defender Lucio and Uruguay striker Diego Forlan as they begin to refresh an aging team and Julio Cesar and Dejan Stankovic have also been told they can leave.

With constant transfer speculation surrounding possible replacements at San Siro, Stramaccioni said: "Let's say that no player will arrive who I do not like. It is important that we get players who can improve the squad and fit with the way we want to play."
