Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Bacary Sagna could be back in action by the end of January.
The 28-year-old broke his leg in October during the Gunners' 2-1 defeat to North London rivals Tottenham but started running again this week.
The Arsenal boss said: "He is a long way ahead of schedule.Frenchman Wenger hopes to have his compatriot back early next year to ease his defensive problems, with the Gunners currently without any recognised full-backs.

"I saw him still limping a little bit so we have to be careful but physically he will be ready very quickly because he worked very hard in the gym.
"We think the end of January is a reasonable target for him."
