AC Milan back in for Liverpool FC target Carlos Tevez

AC Milan have reportedly reopened negotiations over a late move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Inter, Paris Saint-Germain and former club West Ham have also shown interest in Tevez during the January transfer window, although it is thought he would prefer a move to the reigning Serie A champions.

It was thought the arrival of Maxi Lopez at the weekend would end Milan's interest in the 27-year-old, although Milan CEO Adriano Galliani had refused to rule out a late swoop for the wantaway forward.

Tuttomercatoweb on Monday had reported that Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi was considering making funds available to launch a late bid for the Argentina international, and according to Sky Sports, Milan re-entered talks with Tevez's representatives on Tuesday ahead of the 23:00 GMT transfer deadline.

City's reluctance to either lower their £25million asking price or let the forward leave on loan has thus far prevented a deal from happening, and it appears there is still a lot of work for the Rossoneri to do before a deal can go through.

A report on Tuesday morning had suggested Tevez's representative, Kia Joorabchian, failed with a bid to secure a move to Spanish champions Barcelona
