Vela doesn't want Gunners return

Carlos Vela has stated that he has no intention of returning to Arsenal and will tell the club that he wants to leave in the summer, preferably to make his loan move to Real Sociedad permanent.

The Mexican playmaker has enjoyed a new lease of life during this term at the San Sebastian-based outfit and is hopeful a deal can be done with the Gunners in the summer.

"[Arsene] Wenger has the final decision. If he says that he will sell me then I will see what options there are," Vela told reporters.

"If he says that he wants me to stay then I will fight with him to let me leave because my intention is to not go back."

While he hopes that Arsenal and Wenger understand his desire, Vela knows that there will be a lot of negotiating by Real Sociedad if they are to persuade the London club to sell.

"It is not just a question of feeling comfortable in the city because it is also an economical question," he continued.

"My registration belongs to Arsenal and I cannot tell them that I like San Sebastian so they should give me to Real Sociedad.

"If I am asked if I am happy here then I would say that I am happy here but if you ask me if I am going to stay then the answer could be yes and it could be no."

Vela joined Arsenal from Guadalajara in 2005 and has made just 29 appearances for the Gunners while going out on loan to Salamanca, Osasuna, West Bromwich Albion and Real Sociedad.
