Boateng back for Germans

Lars Bender is likely to drop to the bench when Germany play Greece in the Euro 2012 quarter-final tonight.

Bender, who scored the winning goal in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Denmark, will be replaced by Jerome Boateng - following his one match ban.

Germany boss Joachim Loew is not expected to make any further changes for the encounter at the PGE Arena in Gdansk.

Greece go into the clash as underdogs having never beaten Germany in eight previous competitive meetings.

And they will be without suspended skipper Giorgos Karagounis - who scored the goal against Russia to take Greece into runners-up in Group A.

Wing-back Jose Holebas is also serving a ban, while goalkeeper Kostas Chalkias is unlikely to recover from a hamstring injury in time for the game.
