Theodor Gebre Selassie has joined Werder Bremen.
The Czech Republic international, who played in his national team's EURO 2012 quarter final defeat to Portugal on Thursday evening, joins from Czech champions FC Slovan Liberec.
The 25-year-old has signed a contract with the four-time Bundesliga title-winners lasting until 30th June 2016.
"We're delighted that we were able to convince Theodor to join Werder Bremen despite the multitude of offers he had received. He's a very talented right-back who confirmed our initial good impression with his strong performances during the European Championships," said Werder's executive director Klaus Allofs.

Head coach Thomas Schaaf is delighted with his new signing: "Everyone was able to witness his abilities first hand during EURO 2012. He really distinguished himself with his application, willingness to get forward and attacking drive." Selassie is also looking forward to the new task ahead of him. "The decision to join Werder Bremen is definitely the right one. Werder are a club with stability and tradition that always aim high. At Werder I really want to build on my successful season with Liberec," said the 25-year-old.
Selassie was one of the stand-out performers at this summer's European Championships in Poland and Ukraine as he reached the quarter finals of the competition with the Czech Republic for whom he has won 13 caps so far. The right-back moves to the Bundesliga on the back of a title-winning 2011/12 season in the Czech first division with Slovan Liberec. Gebre Selassie signed for the current Czech champions in 2008 from SK Slavia Prague having started his career with FC Vysocina Jihlava.
