Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has hinted the club are close to signing forward Antonio Cassano from rivals AC Milan.
The striker has been linked with a swap deal that would see Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini go the other way, with Rossoneri chief executive Adriano Galliani admitting yesterday to reporters that "talks were ongoing".
And Moratti added further weight to those suggestions today when he told the club's official website: "We still have to tie things up, but does anyone not like a player like Cassano?"
The 30-year-old joined AC Milan in January 2010 but has failed to establish himself during his time at the San Siro.
He had to undergo minor heart surgery in November last year after falling ill on the team's plane following a Serie A clash with Roma.
He returned to action in April and represented Italy at Euro 2012, where he caused uproar and was later fined 15,000 euros by UEFA for making a discriminatory statement.
