Arsenal offer club legend Henry two-month loan deal

Arsenal's record goalscorer Thierry Henry is on the brink of agreeing a two-month loan deal to return to the Gunners in January, according to widespread reports on Thursday.

New York Red Bulls striker Henry, 34, has been training with Arsenal since the MLS season ended, and his performances have earned him an offer from Arsene Wenger.
Wenger will be short of forward players at the start of 2012, with Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho poised to head to the African Cup of Nations next month, leaving Robin van Persie and the unproven Park Chu-Young as the only recognised strikers on the club's books.
Chu-Young joined Arsenal in August but is yet to feature in the Premier League, and as such is unlikely to be trusted to make an impact during a crucial period of the season.
Henry, who left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2007, could feature in seven Premier League games if the deal goes through - as well as in FA Cup ties and the Champions League last-16 match with AC Milan.
Arsenal will have to cover Henry's wages - believed to total around £70,000 a week - and get the deal signed off by New York Red Bulls.
