Tevez close on exit as Man City hope Milan will buy the striker

Roberto Mancini has admitted Carlos Tevez's future could be resolved in the next ten days if AC Milan accept they have to buy the striker rather than take him on loan.

Manchester City are looking to offload Tevez in the January transfer window after a well-documented fall from grace at the Etihad Stadium this season.

Milan are keen to sign the Argentine and there has been dialogue between the two clubs, but so far they have been trying to pursue different deals.

The Italians would like to agree a loan move with the promise to make the arrangement permanent next summer, but Mancini is standing firm on his desire to see Tevez sold.

He concedes there have been no recent developments, but believes there is a chance the 27-year-old could be on his way out of City in the next week and a half.

"We hope AC Milan want to take him," Mancini said

"It could be closed in one week or 10 days, but I don't know if it is possible.

"I am confident we can close this situation quickly if it is possible, but they cannot take him on loan."
