Drogba double saves Shanghai

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba scored twice as Shanghai Shenhua played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with Shandong Luneng on Saturday.

The Ivorian opened the scoring for the away side after just two minutes before a Wang Yongpo penalty and a Gilberto Macena strike after half-time gave Shandong the lead in their Chinese Super League clash.

Drogba restored parity in the 75th minute before Jose Ortigoza scored four minutes later to give the home side the lead back.

It looked to be the winning goal before former French international Nicolas Anelka scored with three minutes to play to leave both sides with a point.

Elsewhere, league leaders Guangzhou Everglade could only manage a 0-0 draw at home to Tianjin Tida.

The result sees their lead at the top cut to two points after second-place Jiangsu Sainty recorded a 3-0 away win over bottom side Henan Jianye.

An early goal from Aleksandar Jevtic and a late Cristian Danalache double sealed the comfortable victory.

Hangzhou withstood a late fightback from Dalian Shide to win 3-2 away from home. Hangzhou looked to have the win wrapped up thanks to goals from Wang Song, Renatinho and Feng Gang before two late goals from Yan Feng and Zhang Yaokun set up a nervy finish.

Dalian Aerbin left it late in their win against Changchun Yatai, with Nigerian international striker Peter Utaka scoring the winner in the 87th minute.

In other results, third-placed Guizhou Renhe kept in touch with the front runners after a 1-0 home win over Qingdeo Jonoon, while Beijing Guoan beat Shanghai Shenxin 2-1.
