Agger admits future not in his hands

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger does not want a move away from the club but feels that he may be forced out if a big offer is received.



Brendan Rodgers admitted last week that the Reds would likely allow the Denmark international to leave were a "massive bid" to be tabled.



Agger has two years left on his Anfield contract and is a reported target for Barclays Premier League champions Manchester City, but he is in no hurry to end his time at Liverpool.



The Dane played an important role for the Merseyside club last term and with a new manager and number of fresh faces around the squad he believes the Liverpool are moving in the right direction.



"I'd rather stay," Agger told Danish website politiken.dk. "I can't imagine playing for any other club in England but you never know if the club think it's better to sell.



"I'd rather stay but that decision is not up to me at the moment. Liverpool can do a deal even though I have two years on my contract, but I haven't changed my mind on the subject.



"Sometimes you can end up in a position where it's not your decision. I don't want to be somewhere I am not wanted but I would prefer if they want me to stay. That is my priority."
