Royston Drenthe could be snapped up on a free as Sam Allardyce looks to build his squad ahead of the new season.
Drenthe was on loan at Everton last season and may be staying in English football as West Ham look to sign the out of contract player.
The 25 year-old had a turbulent time with the Toffees but is now without a club and a return to Merseyside looks unlikely, with the Hammers showing the most interest.
Allardyce, who took charge of the club in the Championship, brought the East London side back into the Premier League at the first time of asking and is now looking to build a sqaud for the future.
