Tottenham have refused to rule out signing Juventus winger Milos Krasic, who has been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Reports at the weekend suggested Zenit St Petersburg were in talks with Juventus over a deal for Krasic, although it is thought the Russians are only keen on a loan deal.
But although Juve would prefer to offload the 27-year-old on a permanent deal, reports in Italy have suggested that they could reluctantly agree to a short-term move if their asking price is not met.
And Tottenham coach Joe Jordan has refused to rule out a late swoop for the Serbia international.
"I cannot say too much about the club's intentions," he toldtuttojuve.com.
"Krasic is one of the many names that the transfer market offers, but a successful negotiation will depend on the will of the player.
"We are happy with our squad. We could do something, though, if a player leaves in the coming hours. Anything is possible."
A move to Zenit could still happen should Krasic fail to seal a move to England as the Russian transfer window will remain open until mid-February.
Reports last week had suggested that Juventus had contacted Liverpool to offer them the midfielder, who has also been linked with Lazio, while it was also reported that Reds boss Kenny Dalglish was interested in taking him on a six-month loan deal.
