Striker Andy Carroll and keeper Robert Green will start for England against Norway in Saturday's warm-up match ahead of the European Championship.
The Oslo showdown will be Roy Hodgson's first in charge for England, before they face Belgium on 2 June, with their Euro 2012 opener against France nine days later.
Hodgson said: "Andy Carroll ended the season well and that was after a difficult start at Liverpool. He has continued in the same vein with us.
"A lot of positions are taken care of as we're still waiting for the Chelsea players and of course Wayne Rooney. I know what I am going to do, but I haven't told the players yet."
England's attacking options are limited with ongoing concerns over injured Danny Welbeck (ankle), although Hodgson said he had been assured the Manchester United star would be OK for the tournament.
Green's return between the sticks will be his first appearance since his clanger against the United States in the 2010 World Cup.
The West Ham keeper will provide back-up to Manchester City's Joe Hart and will be vital in Hodgson's plans on the back of Norwich's John Ruddy being ruled out with a broken finger.
Regarding other injury concerns, Hodgson added that Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker (Achilles) would play on Saturday.
While Liverpool defender Glen Johnson (toe) would not feature in Oslo, but would be fit for the Euros.
