Simon Davies believes Fulham have been handed a break at the right time to 'recharge the batteries and finish the season strongly'.
Davies has already spoken out this week to suggest that Martin Jol's side should be looking to secure a top ten finish after moving up to 12th, following last weekend's 2-1 win against Stoke City.
And, having worked his way back to full fitness after missing the hectic first half of the campaign which included Europa League fixtures as well as Premier League action, Davies feels the Cottagers are well placed to press on now they have no domestic or European cup distractions.
It was Fulham's elimination from the FA Cup at Everton in the fourth round which leaves the side with a blank weekend, and Davies thinks it will be a huge benefit to the majority of the first-team squad who have had very little time to take a breather since last June.
He told the club's website: "I think it's always good to get a break. Not just for me but the lads coming off the back of the European games as well - they've had such a tough six months.
"We've trained well this week but we'll have a couple of days off now and hopefully recharge the batteries and finish the season strongly on the back of it."
