Andy Carroll believes he's starting to prove his worth after putting in a match-winning performance in his last outing for Liverpool.
The England international has struggled to find the same form which saw him become the most expensive British player of all time when he moved to Merseyside from Newcastle for £35million on January transfer deadline day last year.
However, a thigh injury sustained prior to his switch delayed his debut for the Reds and he failed to regain full fitness before his season ended early.
The 23-year-old started the new campaign in better shape but still failed to hit top form, spurring pundits to question Kenny Dalglish's decision to buy the robust forward.
But captain Steven Gerrard's recent return from injury and Luis Suarez's comeback from an eight-match ban has resulted in better service for Carroll, and the results are starting to show.
He was the star of the show in Sunday's FA Cup win over Brighton, scoring a decisive goal before providing Suarez with an assist as Dalglish's side cruised to a 6-1 victory over their Championship visitors.
"I feel like I am doing well. I have just started scoring goals and I am doing well in games. I think it has all come together," Carroll told Sky Sports.
When asked whether he is now at his best since moving to Anfield, he replied: "Without a doubt and I think it shows in my performances.
"(I'm) getting around the pitch a bit more, getting involved. I am happy, more confident and things are going all right."
Carroll added: "The whole team played well (against Brighton) and I was delighted to get a goal and obviously so for Luis (who also scored after missing a penalty) as well."
