Sneijder's coded signals drag on

Wesley Sneijder's future remains unclear after the Inter Milan playmaker delivered another carefully-worded assessment on his career.
Manchester United and Manchester City have for more than a year been linked with the classy Dutchman, who is understood to be valued at £30million at the Giuseppe Meazza.
United were last summer thought to be close to sealing a transfer, but Sneijder's reported £250,000-a-week salary proved an expensive stumbling block.
The 27-year-old has for several months delivered consistently coded messages about his career options and that strategy shows no sign of ending anytime soon.
Sneijder told Nos: "I always watch what can happen. I don't ever close any possibilities.
"I'm fine here at Inter. But I don't know where I'll play next season. If last Tuesday (January's transfer deadline day) some club had submitted an offer, maybe I could have gone.
"But the truth is that I'm happy at Inter."
January transfer window sceptic Sir Alex Ferguson this winter instead welcomed Paul Scholes back from retirement rather than attempt another bid for Sneijder.
But the United manager's interest is thought to remain in the former Ajax and Real Madrid player, who is under contract with Inter until 2015.
Asked about a move to Old Trafford, Sneijder said: "Who would not want to play in a club like that? But there has never been real contact."
Mega-rich Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are also thought to be interested, while a commercial and therefore profitable move to the MLS is also an eventual possibility.
Asked about relocating to the USA, Sneijder responded: "This is something I think about. But for the future, not for now. I don't think about where I will play next season."
