Barcelona have reportedly made contact with Tottenham over a deal for Gareth Bale in what could be a world record transfer.
Last month, the Sunday Mirror reported that the likes of Barca, Manchester City, and Real Madrid - who are all keen on signing Bale - were told that they would have to pay an astonishing £150million to convince Tottenham to sell the 22-year-old.

But according to Spanish publication Sport, Barcelona official Andoni Zubizarreta has been in touch with the north London club to discuss a possible deal.
Zubizarreta is said to have spoken with Tottenham officials last October before a face-to-face meeting between the two clubs in London.
It is not yet known if the Catalans are trying to agree a deal to lure Bale to Camp Nou this summer or whether they are simply trying to arrange a first refusal option for if and when the player decides to seek a move.
Bale has been on Barca's radar for some time, with coach Pep Guardiola sending scouts to watch him play for Spurs on several occasions this season.
And Guardiola is aware that Bale has admitted that a move to Spain in the future is something that is of interest.
However, the midfielder is known to be happy at White Hart Lane, and it is thought that a move this summer may only happen should Spurs miss out on Champions League qualification.
While a £150m transfer fee looks unlikely, it seems almost certain that Tottenham will only consider selling if they receive a figure above £50m.
The current record transfer fee is the £80m paid by Real Madrid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in June 2009.
AC Milan and rivals Inter are also keen on Bale, while if he did become available, Chelsea and Man Utd would also be expected to show interest.
